ST. JUSTINIAN, HERMIT, M.

WAS a young nobleman of Lesser Britain, in Gaul, who, passing into Wales, led an eremetical life in the little island Lemeneia, now called Birdsey, near Menevia. He was murdered by servants. St. David, who honored him living, translated his body to Menevia after his death, where it was kept with great veneration. His death happened about the year 529.
