The Annunciation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary
March 25th

On this day, the Church celebrates the Annunciation of the Archangel Gabriel to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is celebrated exactly 9 months before we celebrate the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the day Our Blessed Mother committed the supreme act of faith and gave her perfect "yes" to God. Gabriel announced to her that she would become the Mother of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. When the angel had revealed to her all that would come to pass, Mary answered "Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to your word".

Prayer: Lord God Our Father, grant us through the example and intercession of Mary, Mother of Your Divine Son, that we too may give our perfect "yes" to You, and lead a life of constant prayer, always ready to do Your will, and one that bears faithful witness to your Divine Son, Jesus Christ. Amen

Website Of the Month

Augustinians of the Midwest
http://www.midwestaugustinians.org/

This website of the Augustinian Monks of the Midwest contains a wealth of information about Augustinian Spritutality including the Rule of St. Augustine. Of the myriad pages on the website, you will also find information about Augustinian Vocations, Augustinian Volunteers, the Augustinian Guild, their Missions in Peru, a Province Directory, articles on Justice and Peace, their Latest News, and so much more! Two very appreciated and great features found on their website are "Daily Bible Readings" and "Augustine Day by Day" which are inspirations from Saint Augustine for each day of the year. This well put-together and attractive website from the Order of Augustinians which the Church has always highly respected and loved down through the ages, is highly recommended by this webmaster.
