Hi,

Christ said to be ready. When we get our lives in God's order, if we ever do,then we then we do not need to be concerned for ourselves as to whether he is the last.

I believe that there are to be two more after Pope John Paul II. Or at leat that is my understanding. We are to watch, but only the Father knows for sure. The Church does not say that we have to believe in the apparitions. But that we may to increase our faith.

Hello everyone! My name is Shoshana. I visited the Vatican in October, and as soon as I saw the Pope reciting the Angelus, I was overwhekmed with great joy and tears. This man is so holy. But I do believe this is the last great pope. I pray to the Lord to not be deceived and a great desire to remain in His light. I love the faith very much and it saddens me to realize that the Church will have to go through a great tribulation. At the present time I am reading pope Piux X11, both pro and con! Peace....

Isn,t it strange, that Jesus picked Peter to be the rock of his church.Peter; who failed the walking on water test,Peter, who objected when told of passion to come, peter who fell asleep and of course denied HIM.It is as if Jesus wanted a very complex human being for a very dangerous position.Peter would be in charge of a small group who would be seen as a threat to the existing jewish ways and the Roman occupation.I wonder if Peter would considered as a pope in this day and age.Jesus of course knew, that is why 2000yr later, the question can even be raised. To compare popes is pointless; It seems that Jesus picksHis bishops for a specific time and task.Even the black popes had some purpose,we, the church survived because of them or in spite of them. It would seem from my very distant point of view that maybe Peter todaywould be a popular in your face type voters choise for the papacy. THANK GOD FOR JESUS.

Jesus did not start a church. He didn't believe in a hierarchy.Peter was given the right to forgive or not forgive sin. He wasn't the first bishop of Rome. I believe James was, nonetheless, even Pter did not name a sucessor.

Well Michael Christ did indeed esptablished a Church:

"Thou are Peter and upon this rock I will build MY Church" Matt. 16:18

"And if he will not hear The Church, let him be to thee as the heathen and puplican." Matt. 18:17

First Pope was St. Peter d. 67 AD
2nd Pope St. Linus 67-79
3rd Pope St. Anacletus I 79-90
267th Pope Benedict XVI 2005 to present

It is an historical fact that the Catholic Church existed from 33 AD till the present. The Catholic Church is the Church established by Christ,

God Bless,
Bruno
