The Blessed Virgin Mary grants seven graces to the souls who honor her daily by saying seven Hail Mary's and meditating on her tears and dolors. The devotion was passed on by Sr. Bridget. The seven graces are posted after prayers..... (POST - AMEN after the meditation and recitation of the Hail Mary )


In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.


Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.


1st Sorrow of Mary, The prophecy of Simeon.....Let us meditate on the first Sorrow of the Blessed Virgin, when she presented her only son in the temple, laid him in the arms of holy Simeon, and heard the prophetic words, "This one shall be a sword of sorrow to pierce your own heart."......Oh most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us............ Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with Thee, blest art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.


2nd Sorrow of Mary, The flight into Egypt..... Mary flees into Egypt with Jesus and Joseph- Forced to endure the hardships of a long journey, and becoming a foreigner in a strange land, Mary and her family flee to protect the child Jesus from those who would destroy him."....Oh most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary pray for us, and all your children yet unborn." ..............Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with Thee, blest art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. 3rd Sorrow of Mary, The loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple.... Mary seeks Jesus lost in Jerusalem-Jesus disappeared for three days in Jerusalem at the age of twelve, causing his parents, especially Mary, agonizing sorrow..... Oh most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us...........Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with Thee, blest art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. 4th Sorrow of Mary, Mary meets Jesus carrying the cross..... Mary meets Jesus on the way to Calvary-As Jesus makes his way to Calvary, condemned to crucifixion, He meets His mother, Mary. He is bruised, derided, cursed and defiled and her sorrow is absolute as Jesus drags His own cross up the hill of His crucifixion.....Oh most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.......... 5th Sorrow of Mary, The Crucifixion..... Mary stands near the cross of her Son- Mary stands near her dying Son unable to minister to him as he cries "I thirst". She hears him promise heaven to a thief and forgive his enemies. His last words, "Behold your mother," charge us to look on Mary as our mother.....Oh most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.........Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with Thee, blest art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. 6th Sorrow of Mary, Mary received the body of Jesus from the cross..... Mary received the body of Jesus taken down from the cross-The passion and death are over but for his mother, grief continues. She holds His body in her arms.....Oh most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.........Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with Thee, blest art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. 7th Sorrow of Mary, The body of Jesus is placed in the tomb..... Mary places the body of Jesus in the tomb, awaiting the resurrection -The most tragic day in history ends, Mary alone in sorrow, as she lays the body of her Son, in the tomb..... Oh most Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.........Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with Thee, blest art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Three Hail Mary's in remembrance of the tears Mary shed because of the suffering of her Divine Son.Ê These are said to obtain true sorrow for our sins......

"Pray for us, O most sorrowful Virgin, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ".


PRAYER
Lord Jesus, we now implore, both for the present and for the hour of our death, the intercession of the most Blessed Virgin Mary, Thy Mother, whose holy soul was pierced at the time of Thy Passion by a sword of grief. Grant us this favor, O Savior of the world, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Spirit, forever and ever.


Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.


Thank you for joining in this beautiful prayer. Always remember that Our Lady is our Mother and our friend. She mediates for us between God and the world, between God and the Saints, in this veil of tears. May she stand with us at all the crossroads of our lives and point us to her son Jesus. PROMISES OF THE SEVEN DOLORS: 1)I will grant Peace to their families. 2) They will be enlightened about the Divine Mysteries. 3) I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work. 4) I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son or the sanctification of their souls. 5)I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives. 6) I will visibly help them at the moment of their death, they will see the face of their mother. 7) I have obtained (This Grace) from my Divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors, will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son will be their eternal consolation and joy."
