St Francis of Assisi -
Since I am a Third Order Franciscan this one was pretty easy for me.

I will give you one tomorrow.

Today's saint was either an acolyte or a deacon in Rome.  He was attacked  by  a pagan mob while carrying the Eucharist to a prisoner.  He died defending Jesus truly present in the Host.   He is the patron saint of altar boys and 1st Communicants.

Okay, how about this poem I wrote?

A girl of twelve in 4th century Rome,
When Emperor Diocletian sat on the throne
The girl listen not to the royal decree,
To worship false gods on bended knee.

Forced to an alter of Minerva to light incense,
She decided to listen to her moral sense,
and made the Sign of the Cross instead
And prepared herself for the tortures ahead.

The Roman soldiers, angered by her feat,
whipped her and dragged her through the street.
Men offered to marry her, to save her life,
But she announced she would only be Jesus’ wife.

She was sent to a brothel, where the men were
Struck by her grace, and refused to touch her.
For the Romans, this was the last straw;
They spilt her lifeblood on the floor.

This brave young woman died for Christ.
This brave young woman made the ultimate sacrifice.
This brave young woman, my confirmation Saint became.
I have given you the facts, now give me her name.

Good one!   I really had to work for this one.  St Irene  - both of her sisters were martyrs too

She was married 48 years!  Mother of 7 children!  Yet developed such a prayer life that she had mystical abilities.  This humble housewife and mother was a counsellor to royalty and 3 popes.  She died in 1837 and her body is incorupt.

Anne Marie Taigi. Nice one. By the way, St. Irene was not the answer I was looking for, but she certainly fits the discription. I'll give you a hint as to the one I'm looking for: two lambs are blest in the Vatican on her feast day.

And also the name of the parish in which I was baptized ...

Agnes, patroness of young girls and a beautiful example of purity and faith.

This one might be tough, but I use it in honor of St. Agnes because of the blessing of the lambs on her feast day that are used to make palliums (pallia?).

He was consecrated bishop by Pope Victor I.  He was the first bishop on record to be given the pallium as a symbol of his office.  A bishop for more than 50 years, he was arrested, tortured and martyred at the age of 94.  He is symbolized as an old bishop with a book and tongs, or an old bishop with holes bored in his hands and feet.  A city grew up around the church built over his grave.
