why Protestants think we Catholics aren't Christians, when in truth, we believe more or less similar beliefs to them.  I'm not posting this because I hate Protestants in general, it's just that w believe in the same God that they do.  What makes us different?

I will give explaination a shot. First lets do the label " protestant" means protest....they started off protesting the catholic church (the church which was founded 1200 something years before any protestant came along). (will refer to catholics as us and prots as they) They do not dig the idea that the Pope is iffalable (sp) they also give out communion to whoever comes up and pretty much disregard the sacraments set out in the first 1200 years or so of christianity. The sacrament of confession with a priest is not on their list of things to do either.  As far as I can tell not all protestant "sects" think we are not Chirstian.....they just dont dig we practice pure faith as set out by Jesus hisself in the beginning.  And btw we do not accept LDS as christians so

Danni, most Protestants only hear about the Catholic church at their own church's services. Most pastors will say negative things about the church.... how it's the whore of Babylon or we worship Mary and the Saints etc. Perhaps if they knew a real Catholic this person could teach them the truth about or beliefs.  Even the Watchtower put out by the Jehovah's Witnesses always has one or two articles about how the Catholic church is so bad in this practice or that. It's pretty sad because I think if all the Protestants, cults, organizations and what not were taught the true teachings of the Church....they would run to it and become Catholic. We have the fullness of the Word... we have Mary and the Saints... we have the Eucharist, sacraments and just so much more. If they only knew.
