Hello everyone!
My name is Micah (St. Raphael the Archangel is my patron, but I was named after Micah 6:

and I was told of this site by Christina, who has become a good and supportive friend of mine on the forum I run (which I will not name here, so that I do not draw anyone there away from these forums).
I am a revert from "Catholic" minimalism/secularism (confused? So was I. ). I come from a heterodox but well-intentioned religious education and had an awakening to orthodoxy during my late teens, after having struggled with many philosophical issues since the sixth grade. Last year, I was studying in the seminary for the Archdiocese of Omaha, Nebraska. I felt a call toward marriage, however, and decided to leave priestly formation. Since then, many factors in my life have finally begun visibly to come together, with God at the center, particularly a call to share in particular way in the Sacred Heart of Jesus, especially in the true manhood Christ presents to us in His Sacred Heart. I will be studying at the Franciscan University of Steubenville starting in the fall and plan to earn my masters eventually in counseling, specializing in sex abuse counseling, so that I may work within the Theology of the Body to bring about the true Christian unity of the sexes as Christ intended.
Well...that's me, in a nutshell. I suppose I can also add that I know Latin...I love it...so if anyone ever needs any help with it, I will be very happy to help.
God bless,
Micah
